1. About this Schedule

1.1 This Schedule applies to every Sitting Booking. It forms part of the Customer Terms for Customers and the Provider Terms for Sitters.

1.2 If this Schedule is inconsistent with the Customer Terms or Provider Terms, this Schedule applies to the extent of the inconsistency for Sitting Bookings only.

1.3 Nothing in this Schedule excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

1.4 Acceptance. A Sitter must accept this Schedule before offering Sitting Services, and a Customer must accept it before paying for a Sitting Booking. Each Sitting Booking is governed by the version of this Schedule accepted at the time it was made.

1.5 Sitter's own terms. A Sitter may attach their own terms to a Quote. They apply in addition to this Schedule, but to the extent they are inconsistent with it, or would reduce the Customer's rights under it, this Schedule prevails.

2. Definitions

Cancellation Policy means the cancellation policy in clause 5, which applies to every Sitting Booking.

Customer Home means the Customer's home or other premises where a Sitting Service is performed.

Emergency Vet Limit means the maximum amount the Customer authorises the Sitter to spend on urgent veterinary treatment, as stated in the Sitting Booking.

Pet means each animal named in the Sitting Booking.

Problem Window means the period during a Stay and the 48 hours after the Stay ends.

Sitter means a Service Provider offering Sitting Services.

Sitter Home means the Sitter's home, where the Sitter hosts a Pet.

Sitting Booking means a Booking for a Sitting Service, made when the Customer accepts the Sitter's Quote.

Sitting Service means any of: dog sitting (at the Sitter Home or the Customer Home, or by visits), cat sitting visits, live-in house sitting, and house visits.

Stay means the period from the start date and time to the end date and time stated in the Sitting Booking.

3. Booking and quotes

3.1 A Customer requests a Sitting Service by giving the dates, the Pets, the type of Sitting Service and the information in clause 6.

3.2 The Sitter may send a Quote. The Quote shows the Customer Price for the whole Stay and whether the Stay is at the Sitter Home or the Customer Home. The Cancellation Policy is shown to the Customer before they accept the Quote.

3.3 A Sitting Booking is made when the Customer accepts the Quote and pays in full under clause 4.

3.4 Either party may suggest changes before the Quote is accepted, using the Platform's "Request an update" function. After acceptance, a change to the dates or Pets needs both parties' agreement through the Platform, and may change the Customer Price.

3.5 Meet first. Before a first Sitting Booking with a Sitter, the Customer and Sitter are encouraged to meet, in person or by video, using the Platform's Interview feature. Greatjob may take into account whether a meet-and-greet took place when helping with a dispute.

4. Payment and held funds

4.1 The Customer pays the full Customer Price when accepting the Quote, through Greatjob's payment provider (currently Stripe).

4.2 Greatjob holds the payment until the Stay has ended. While the payment is held, it is not released to the Sitter.

4.3 Greatjob releases the Sitter's payment (the Provider Price) at the end of the Problem Window, unless the Customer has reported a problem under clause 10.

4.4 If a problem is reported, Greatjob may delay all or part of the payment while it looks into the problem, and will release or refund the amount once the problem is resolved.

4.5 Greatjob is not a bank and does not pay interest on held amounts.

5. Cancellations and refunds

5.1 Customer cancels. If the Customer cancels 7 days or more before the Stay starts, the Customer receives a full refund. If the Customer cancels less than 7 days before the Stay starts, the Customer receives a 50% refund. The cut-off is 12pm (Sydney time) on the day 7 days before the Stay starts.

5.2 Once the Stay has started, no refund is payable for a Customer cancellation, except as required by law or agreed by the Sitter.

5.3 Any amount not refunded to the Customer under clause 5.1 or 5.2 is paid to the Sitter.

5.4 Sitter cancels. If the Sitter cancels before the Stay starts, the Customer receives a full refund. Greatjob may, but is not obliged to, help the Customer find another Sitter.

5.5 Stay cut short. If the Sitter cannot continue during a Stay (for example through illness or emergency), the Sitter must tell the Customer and Greatjob immediately and make reasonable arrangements for the Pets' care until the Customer or another carer takes over. The Customer is refunded for the nights or visits not provided.

5.6 The Sitter may refund more than this clause requires, as a goodwill gesture.

5.7 Refunds are made to the original payment method and usually appear within 5 to 10 business days.

6. Customer responsibilities

6.1 Accurate information. Before the Sitting Booking, the Customer must give the Sitter complete and accurate information about each Pet, including:

6.2 Healthy, vaccinated Pets. The Customer must make sure each Pet is registered and microchipped as required by law, has up-to-date vaccinations and flea and worm treatment, and is not known to have an infectious condition, unless the Sitter has agreed otherwise in writing.

6.3 Customer Home. For Sitting Services at the Customer Home, the Customer must:

6.4 Supplies. Unless agreed otherwise, the Customer provides enough food, medication and other supplies for the Stay.

6.5 Responsibility for undisclosed information. The Customer is responsible for loss, damage or injury caused by a Pet's behaviour or condition that the Customer knew about, or reasonably should have known about, and did not disclose.

6.6 Collecting Pets. The Customer must collect each Pet from the Sitter Home, or return home, by the end of the Stay. Extra nights or visits are charged at the Sitter's usual rate. If a Pet is not collected within 5 days after the Stay ends, and neither the Customer nor the emergency contact can be reached, the Sitter or Greatjob may arrange the Pet's care at the Customer's cost and may notify the local council or other authorities.

7. Sitter responsibilities

7.1 Care. The Sitter must care for each Pet with reasonable care and skill, follow the Customer's reasonable instructions (including feeding, exercise and medication), and keep each Pet safe and secure.

7.2 The Customer Home. For Sitting Services at the Customer Home, the Sitter must:

7.3 The Sitter Home. A Sitter who hosts Pets must accurately describe the Sitter Home on their profile, including:

The Sitter must keep this description up to date, and keep the Sitter Home safe and secure for visiting Pets.

7.4 Updates. The Sitter should send the Customer regular updates through Greatjob messaging, as agreed.

7.5 Cancellation Policy. The Sitter must honour the Cancellation Policy in clause 5 for every Sitting Booking.

7.6 Privacy. The Sitter must keep the Customer's address, access details and personal information confidential, and use them only for the Sitting Booking.

8. Emergencies and vet care

8.1 If a Pet is unwell or injured, the Sitter must contact the Customer (or the emergency contact) as soon as possible.

8.2 If urgent treatment is needed and neither can be reached in time, the Customer authorises the Sitter to take the Pet to a vet and approve treatment up to the Emergency Vet Limit.

8.3 The Customer must repay the Sitter for reasonable vet costs incurred under clause 8.2, through the Platform, unless the costs were caused by the Sitter's failure to take reasonable care.

8.4 If a Pet goes missing, the Sitter must immediately tell the Customer and Greatjob, search for the Pet, and notify the local council and nearby vets.

9. Damage, injury, loss and insurance

9.1 Sitter at fault. The Sitter is responsible for loss, damage or injury to a Pet, the Customer Home or its contents caused by the Sitter's failure to take reasonable care or to follow this Schedule.

9.2 Customer at fault. The Customer is responsible for loss, damage or injury caused by a Pet's undisclosed behaviour or condition (clause 6.5), and for damage a Pet causes to the Sitter Home beyond normal wear.

9.3 Neither at fault. Neither party is responsible to the other for illness, injury or death of a Pet that occurs despite reasonable care, such as age-related or pre-existing illness.

9.4 Insurance.

9.5 Greatjob's role. Greatjob is not a party to the Sitting Service and is not responsible for loss, damage or injury caused by a Sitter, a Customer or a Pet, except to the extent caused by Greatjob's own breach or negligence or where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Reporting a problem

10.1 The Customer may report a problem with a Sitting Service through the Platform's "Report a problem" button at any time during the Problem Window.

10.2 Both parties should first try to resolve the problem through Greatjob messaging. Greatjob may review the messages, photos and other records and help the parties reach an outcome, but is not obliged to decide the dispute.

10.3 If the parties agree an outcome, Greatjob will release or refund the held payment accordingly. If they cannot agree within 14 days, Greatjob may release the undisputed amount and hold the remainder until the parties agree or a court or tribunal decides.

11. Police checks and badges

11.1 A police check is optional but encouraged. A Sitter may upload a National Police Check certificate issued within the previous 12 months by an accredited body.

11.2 Greatjob reviews the certificate: the name matches the account, the issue date, and that it comes from an accredited body. If satisfied, Greatjob shows a badge on the Sitter's profile with the month of the check, for example "National Police Check, October 2026".

11.3 The badge shows only that a check was provided and when. It is not a guarantee of the Sitter's character or conduct, and Greatjob does not otherwise vet Sitters.

11.4 The certificate is stored privately, seen only by authorised Greatjob staff, never shown to Customers, and deleted within 30 days after the badge expires or the Sitter's account closes.

11.5 The badge expires 12 months after the issue date. Greatjob will remind the Sitter before it expires.

11.6 By uploading a certificate, the Sitter consents to Greatjob collecting, storing and using it for these purposes. Greatjob may remove a badge if it believes the certificate is not genuine, or if it becomes aware of information that makes the badge misleading.
