How Greatjob works
If you are a client, you will find all the information you need to navigate the system and book a job here.
If you are a Service Provider, you will find all the information you need to navigate the system, create a Service Provider Profile and receive jobs here.
Greatjob Client System Navigation
View Services
To make a service purchasing decision, you need to feel confident in getting the person that will ultimately provide you with a great job! Whilst there are never any guarantees, you need to limit the risk as much as possible. Greatjob provides all the information you need to make an informed and low risk decision about a service being provided. To view this information you need to do the following:
Start from the Greatjob Home Page. If not already displayed, enter your location information in the Quick Search Box. In the Keyword field, enter the job type you are looking for (eg, Plumber) . Alternately, select a job type from the Popular Searches or All Categories list.
Greatjob will list all the registered Service Providers in your area
Select a Service Provider from the list
You can now view all relevant information about the Service Provider such as previous client feeback, qualifications and licenses, availability and rates.
You do not need to be a Greatjob client to view Service Provider's details and their availability.

Get a Quote from a Service Provider
In some instances (such as plumbers, handymen, electricians), you need a total job quote from a Service Provider first. By requesting a quote on the Greatjob system, you are effectively asking for the Service Provider to contact you to discuss your requirements. WE DO NOT ASK YOU TO TYPE IN YOUR JOB REQUIREMENTS. All we do is send an SMS and an email to the Service Provider to contact you ASAP. The Service Provider will then call you on your nominated phone number to discuss your requirements or, make a time to visit you. In most cases, the Service Provider will then send you a Quotation for the work either directly or via the Greatjob System. If you are comfortable with the Quote, you can then book the Job via the Greatjob system at a time that is convenient to you and fits in with the Service Providers on-line Greatjob calendar.
To get a Quote, you must be registered as a Greatjob Client. There is no charge to register.

Book a Job with a Service Provider
To book a job with a Service Provider, you first need to search for a Service Provider using the Search Box on the Greatjob Home Page. If you know the Service Provider's Profile Name, you can enter that directly into the search box. Near the bottom of the page, you will find the Service Provider's Greatjob Calendar. Select the date that you want and check the Service Provider's available times. If there is a timeslot that works for you, press "book". If there are no timeslots available that you want, you can either choose another day or alternately, you may want to look at the calendar of the Service Provider's nominated workmate.
You will then proceed to the booking page to verify your booking details. Press "Submit" and the job will go into a "Pending" status. A SMS and/or an email will be sent to the Service Provider to confirm the job. Once confirmed, you will be notified by an SMS and/or an email and the job will go into "Confirmed" status.
You must be a Greatjob Client to book a job with a Service Provider.
When the job is complete, Greatjob will send you an email for you to provide feedback about the job. Typically, the feedback process will take less than a minute. You can setup the Greatjob system to provide automatic feedback.

Change my booking details
Circumstances change, so you need to be able to change or cancel your booking. To change or cancel your booking, go to your "My Account" tab. Select the job under the "Services Booked" heading (or select "Services Booked" on the left hand navigation panel). Click on the job and change your booking details or press "Cancel Booking" to cancel the job. In either case, the Service Provider will be notified by SMS and/or emailed. If the booking is changed, the booking status will change to "Pending". If the booking is cancelled, the booking status will change to "Cancelled". Provided you cancel prior to the booking cancellation time, there will be no fees charged. Should you be within the booking cancellation time, a fee may be imposed by the Service Provider (and listed on the Providers Profile page). Please see the Booking Cancellation Policy on the Service Providers Profile page.

A Service Provider changes booking
Under some circumstances, a Service Provider may need to change a booking with you. It could be that the Service Provider can only deliver the service on a non-raining day, or the Service Provider has an urgent family matter to attend to, or the Service Provider is sick. If this happens, the Service Provider will change the booking on the Greatjob System and the Greatjob System will notify you by SMS and/or email. If this happens, the booking status of the job changes to "Reschedule". Once you receive an SMS/email notification, you then need to re-confirm the booking with the new details or edit or cancel the booking. To do this, go to your "My Account" page. Select the job under "Jobs Booked" or select "Jobs Booked" on the left hand navigation page. Select the job and edit, re-confirm or cancel the job. Depending on what you choose, the job status will change to either "Confirmed", "Pending" or "Cancelled".

A Service Provider nominates a Workmate
Under some circumstances, a Service Provider may not be able to do the work or feels the work may be performed better by a specialist. In such cases, a Service Provider may inform you of his or her Workmate nomination. You will receive an email informing you of the nomination. You can follow the link in the email and accept the nomination or you can choose another Service Provider from Greatjob’s extensive list of Service Providers. If you accept the nomination, the job will remain in "Pending" status until the new Service Provider accepts the job.

Leave Feedback
Once a Service Provider has completed a job, you then have the opportunity to leave feedback about the Service Provider. You can leave public feedback (a rating and a short comment), public detailed feedback (optional), and private feedback (optional - only you will see it). Private feedback is good if you want to remember something about the Service Provider that you don't want to make public (eg, "My backup provider - only book again if desperate"). Once feedback is left, the job will be marked as "Completed".
To leave feedback, you can either wait until you get an email when the job is complete or you can go to the Greatjob Website to leave feedback.
If you wait for the email, the email will contain a link to connect you directly to the feedback form.
If you want to go to the Greatjob Website to leave feedback, go to the "My Account" tab. Go the Services Booked section on that page or select "Services Booked" on the left hand navigation panel. Click on "Leave Feedback" on the job that was just completed. If you have lots of services, you can type "Feed" into the "Refine your search" entry field to just list the jobs that you need to leave feedback for.

Save a list of Favourite Service Providers
If you often use the same Service Provider, you may want to save their Greatjob Profile Name for future use. To do this, go to the Greatjob Home Page and search for the Service Provider. On the Service Provider's Profile Page, click on "Add me to your Favourites list" button. The service provider will now be listed in the "Favourites" list in your "My Account" tab. You can delete Favourites by pressing "Delete" from the list.

Change your Account details
To change your account details (name, address, phone number, etc), go to the "My Account" tab and select "Account Details" on the left hand navigation panel.

Become a Service Provider
If you think you have a service that you can offer on an occasional ad-hoc basis, whether it be a knitting teacher, language tutor or just a gardener, signup as a Service Provider. To signup, go to the "My Account" tab and select "My Profiles" on the left hand navigation panel. Select "Create New Service Provider Profile" and fill in your details. Once done, your new Greatjob Service Provider Profile will be listed in the category you have chosen on the Greatjob Website.

Redeeming and using a Greatjob Gift Certificate
If you have received a Greatjob Gift Certificate, Congratulations! Your gift certificate has some vital information on it to help you redeem the gift amount in services. Your gift certificate will have a certificate number and what Business Category the certificate applies to. To activate your certificate, you must use the information on the certificate to credit your Greatjob Gift Certificate Account. If the person that gave you the certificate used your Greatjob registered email address or Greatjob Master Account Userid, we may have already credited your certificate account. You can view your gift certificate account at any time by going to the "My Account" tab and select "Gift Certificates" in the left hand navigation panel.
You will then be able to:
- Activate a Greatjob Gift Certificate
- View a list of certificates, their business categories and the gift certificate balance
- Drawdown a payment certificate to a specific Service Provider
- Print and email payment certificates (that can be given to a Service Provider's as payment)
Note, you cannot issue a payment certificate to yourself... even if you have a Service Provider Profile!

Greatjob Service Provider System Navigation
Being a Greatjob Service Provider tells potential clients you are dedicated, willing and eager to work. The Greatjob system is designed to list you as a Greatjob Service Provider detailing what you are good at, what types of work you want to do, when you want to do it and how much you want to be paid. A Greatjob client will review these things about you and if happy with you and the feedback that others have left you, they will more than likely hire you for a job. On registration with Greatjob, you will have the ability to detail your skills, the job category you want to be in, your rates and other relevant pieces of information. After a client has hired you for a job, you and the client will have an opportunity to provide feedback on the client and service provider. The following text will give you information about how to use and navigate through the Greatjob system as a Service Provider.
The "My Account" Tab in the Greatjob System will be where you will spend most of your time. The Greatjob system will notify you of important and urgent information by SMS. To become a Greatjob Service Provider, you first need to signup as a Client. During the registration process, you can also create your Greatjob Service Provider Profile. If you did not do this, you can still register as a Service Provider by going to the "My Account" tab and selecting "My Profiles" on the left hand navigation panel. Select "Create New Service Provider Profile" and fill in your details. Once done, your new Greatjob Service Provider Profile will be listed in the category you have chosen on the Greatjob Website. Nothing much happens until a potential client requests a Quote from you or books you for a Job.

Getting a Quote Request
Once your Greatjob Service Provider Profile has been established, Clients can view your profile on the Greatjob Website. If a client is interested in hiring you for a service a client may press the "Request Quote" button that effectively requests you to contact them. The Greatjob system will then automatically send you an SMS and/or an email requesting you to contact them. To ensure great client satisfaction, please contact the client as soon as practical or within the timeframe you specified when you created your Service Provider Profile.
If the client needs you to estimate the time and cost of a job, either visit the client or discuss their requirements over the phone. When you get back to your computer, enter the quote details into the Greatjob system and send a copy of the quote to the client. To do this, go to the email that was sent to you by the Greatjob System and click on the provided link or go to Greatjob website and click on the "My Account" tab then click on the job with the words "Quote Request". Press on the "Enter Quote" button, fill in the Quote details and press "Send Quote". Once done, the Greatjob System will automatically email the quote to the Client. The client can then book your service using the provided Quote Number.
A Quote administration fee may be charged. See Fee Structure.

Getting a Job Request
Once a Client reviews your Service Provider Profile and wishes to book you for a job, the client will press the "Book" button on your Profile page. The Greatjob system will then automatically send you an SMS and/or an email notifying you of the job request. Clients can only book you during the periods that you have nominated that you are available based on your Service Provider Profile information. You can change your availability details by at any time. See Change Your Service Provider Profile Details.
To accept the Job request, you can either go to the email that was sent to you by the Greatjob System and click on the provided link or go to Greatjob website and click on the "My Account" tab then click on the job with the words "Pending Accept". Open the Job, review the details and if you are comfortable that you can do the job, press the "Accept" button. The job status will change to "Confirmed".
A Job administration fee may be charged when you accept the job. See Fee Structure.

Redeeming Greatjob Payment Certificates
The Greatjob Gift Certificate program allows clients to receive Greatjob Gift Certificates. The certificates are stored in the clients account and can be drawn down as Greatjob Payment Certificates. The certificate will have your Greatjob Service Provider Profile ID on it. The Greatjob Payment certificates are as good as cash as we have already secured the funds. The Greatjob Payment certificate has some vital information on it to help you redeem the payment amount. Your payment certificate will have a certificate number and what Business Category the certificate applies to. To activate the certificate, you must use the information on the certificate to credit your Greatjob Payment Certificate Account. If the person that gave you the certificate used your Greatjob registered email address or Greatjob Master Account Userid, we may have already credited your payment certificate account. You can view your payment certificate account at any time by going to the "My Account" tab and select "Payment Certificates" in the left hand navigation panel.
You will then be able to:
- Activate a Greatjob Payment Certificate
- View a list of certificates and if they have been redeemed or not
- Redeem payment certificates direct to your nominated bank account

Client changes booking details
Sometime a Clients circumstances change, so they may need to change or cancel a booking with you. If a Client cancels a booking with you and the job was "Confirmed", Greatjob will issue you with a credit for the booking fee. If the client changes the date and/or time, the Greatjob system will put the booking into a "Pending Accept" status. The Greatjob system will automatically notify you by SMS and/or email. You then need to "Confirm" the booking. Don't worry... you will not be charged twice for accepting the booking. Remember, the Client can only rebook you during the times you have available on the Greatjob System. To confirm the booking, you can either go to the email that was sent to you by the Greatjob System and click on the provided link or go to Greatjob website and click on the "My Account" tab then click on the job with the words "Pending Accept". Open the Job, review the details and if you are comfortable that you can do the job, press the "Accept" button. The job status will change to "Confirmed". The Client will be notified by SMS and/or emailed.

Change a booking

Cancel a booking
If you have not already accepted a booking, you can "Reject" a booking and a SMS/email will be sent to the client with a reason (that you must enter). If you "Reject" a booking that has not been "Confirmed", there is no fee required. However, if you cancel a booking that you have already accepted, your Job Acceptance fee cannot be refunded. The only way you can get a Credit for the cancellation is to ask the Client to cancel the job or "Nominate" a workmate (provided they accept the job).
To cancel a booking, go to your "My Account" page. Select the job under "My Jobs" or select "My Jobs" on the left hand navigation page. You can then Cancel the job.

Nominate a Workmate
Under some circumstances, you may not be able to do the work, too busy or feel the work may be performed better by a specialist. You may not want to lose the business, so you might nominate a Workmate to do the job. If you nominate a workmate, the Client will receive a SMS and/or an email informing the Client of the workmate nomination. The Client may either accept the workmate nomination or choose another Service Provider. If the Client accepts the workmate nomination, the job will no longer appear in your Job list and appear as "Pending" in your workmates Job list.
To nominate a workmate, go to your "My Account" page. Select the job under "My Jobs" or select "My Jobs" on the left hand navigation page. You can then press "Nominate". You must know the Greatjob Service Provider Profile ID of the workmate.

Leave Feedback

Auto Feedback
In some instances, you may book many jobs and you may typically leave the same feedback (either for the same person or multiple people). You can setup the Greatjob system to leave Automatic Feedback. You then have 7 days to override the automatic feedback before the auto feedback is send and the job marked as "Completed".
To setup Auto Feedback, go to the "My Account" tab and select "My Profiles" on the left hand navigation panel. Select and edit your Service Provider Profile.

Change your Service Provider Profile Details
To change your Service Provider Profile details (availability, rates, certifications, etc), go to the "My Account" tab and select "My Profiles" on the left hand navigation panel. Select your Greatjob Service Provider Profile.

Add/Delete a Workmate
To Add or Delete a workmate, go to the "My Account" tab and select "My Profiles" on the left hand navigation panel. Select your Greatjob Service Provider Profile and click the Profile to edit.

Automatic Job Acceptance
To secure a job automatically, you have the option to automatically accept a job. If Greatjob is your only source to get work and you have correctly updated your availability on the Greatjob Calendar, then it is fairly safe to Automatically accept a job. If you turn on this feature, you account will be also be automatically charged the job acceptance fee. If you have other sources of getting work, then you need to be aware of a timing conflict (getting booked for the same timeslot). You will be automatically charged the job acceptance fee, however, if there is a conflict, you either need to reschedule the job and hope the client accepts, nominate a workmate or if all else fails, either cancel the job or get the client to cancel the job (and get a credit on your job acceptance fee).
To set your automatic Job Acceptance, go to the "My Account" tab and select "My Profiles" on the left hand navigation panel. Select your Greatjob Service Provider Profile and click the Profile to edit.

Calendaring System
The calendaring system is used to keep track of your availability. You can use the calendaring system to block out times when you are unavailable to work. You can:
- Set regular unavailable times for every day of the week (eg from 7pm to 7am when you are with your family or are asleep)
- Set regular unavailable times where you may be working for someone else
- Set regular unavailable times where you may be studying
- Set irregular times where you are unavailable due to certain events (public holidays, sick leave, family holidays, etc)
To change your availability, go to the "My Account" tab and select "My Profiles" on the left hand navigation panel. Select your Greatjob Service Provider Profile. In your Greatjob Service Provider Profile, go to "Update Availability"

Add a New Service Provider Profile
If you are lucky to be multi-talented, you can add new Service Provider Profiles. For example, you could be a Massage Therapist during the day and a babysitter at night.
To create new profiles, go to the "My Account" tab and select "My Profiles" on the left hand navigation panel. At the bottom of the page, press "Create New Profile".

Update my Greatjob Master Account Details
To change your Greatjob Master Account details (name, address, phone number, Credit Card, etc), go to the "My Account" tab and select "Account Details" on the left hand navigation panel.
